Juvia's Place does it work with dry eczema skin?

Hello my readers,

Hope you are all well and staying safe!

I thought I would sit and write something to take our minds off what is happening as of late.

I purchased some make up a while ago and tried it out over some time.

As you can tell from the title it was from the brand Juvia's place, I have heard of this brand through YouTube but never really thought of looking at it as it is an American based company so means I would be paying import tax on my goods. They have been going over 7 years. But the make up was designed and created for women and men of colour. You can read through how they came to be and get all the information you want on their site juviasplace.com

I got the foundation for $20 I got the shade Malta 640 and the concealer for $14 that is in the shade J21. I have to say it is a little difficult picking which shade I am, never used the site before so didn't know what to expect but it is like every other makeup website you do get a swatch of the colour you pick but it doesn't really show you the proper colour until you have it. Meaning you can't really tell what the undertones are until it is on your skin.

The concealers are full coverage and it is a weightless feel but gives you the coverage you need to last the day, it has 24 different shades

The foundation has 42 different shades with a gorgeous range for every skin tone. It is a very matte finish, it has wear-able and long-lasting.

I have done swatches of both so you can see what the colours are like on my skin. Yes they're definitely not the right colours for me.

Would I buy these again?

Personally I don't think I will buy these again, yes I think they are very nice and it was nice to try a different brand but for the money and getting it over here I don't want to buy something like that if I can get it something similar here, I didn't like the way it felt on my skin, it didn't feel heavy or anything like that I could just tell I was wearing a full coverage foundation, definitely couldn't touch my face or hug anyone as I felt it would transfer even with putting a powder on top, no matter how I tried to make sure it would stay on my face it just wouldn't, plus I didn't like the look of it on myself, I could see every imperfection on my face and with me trying it on over eczema it just made it look more prominent along with the dry skin just didn't mix well together.

I like a product I want to look natural but also skin like.

The product just felt cakey to me after I had the rest of my face on. No one likes to look or feel that way (if you do then great but personally I like to feel like I'm wearing no make up but have the benefit of knowing I have it on)

The concealer was just to light for me even though on the site it looked a little darker, but like I always say it is going to be hard to pick the exact match all the time unless you know the brand or can go and see the product in person. Yes I loved the coverage it gave me (bye bye dark circles) but I found my eyes didn't agree with whatever was in the concealer now I have tried to narrow what causes the upset but it is a tricky thing to do.

If my eyes weren't badly affected by the product then I would happily keep using it.

Does eczema skin like these products?

I would say yes to some degree. Ok my skin didn't like them but then I'm used to finding most things don't really work for me. But if you find that these work for you and you want that full coverage look then these are the ones for you, but before you go off and buy them, I can recommend another brand that has the same coverage, I suggest looking at morphe first and if you still want more then I then would look at Juvia's Place.

Well I hope you enjoyed the blog I had for you today. I hope you are all staying safe and looking after yourselves! See you in the next one! X
